Introduction

Our team at Youth Logic was approached by Johnson & Johnson to provide expert guidance and support in the development and roll-out of a fresh new rebrand for one of their mainstay beauty lines, Clean and Clear. The J&J executive team sought our help with product innovation and strategy as it pertained to Gen Z, as this product line was heavily geared towards the younger generation.

We conducted extensive research and analysis to gain a deep understanding of the Gen Z market and their preferences when it comes to beauty products. Based on our findings, we advised J&J to craft a fresh new design system for the Clean and Clear line, which included new packaging, and we also helped their team with the roll-out, influencer strategy, and influencer relationships behind the marketing of their new product line.

Conclusion

Throughout the process, we worked closely with the beauty incubator within J&J to gather real-world insights from members of Gen Z, which ultimately resulted in the successful relaunch of the brand new Clean and Clear line of products. Our team was able to bring clarity and a clear strategy to the team over at Johnson & Johnson, guiding them through the process from private influencer dinners, to multiple rounds of product refinement, to ensure the launch was a success. Overall, the new Clean and Clear line has seen a significant increase in sales and positive feedback from Gen Z consumers.
